Qatar’s Julio De Nascimento and Ahmed Tijan emerged champions at the AVC Beach Volleyball Tour Grand Front Osaka Open on Monday.
In the final they defeated Gilang Ramadan and Danangsyah Pribadi 21-15, 21-19.
The Indonesians had beaten Qatar’s Jefferson Pereira/Cherif Younousse in the semifinals, but they were thoroughly outplayed by Julio and Tijan.
Another Indonesian pair Ade Candra Rachmawan and Mohammad Asfiya took the bronze medal after defeating Pereira and Younousse 21-17,14-21,15-9.
Julio and Tijan had defeated Rachmawan/ Asfiya 21-14, 21-17 in the semifinal.
