Qatar Indoor Senior National is getting ready to camp in Italy from November 9 to 16 to prepare for the 19th Arab Championship which will be held in Kuwait from November 26 to December 6.
Tunisia are the holders of the biennial competition. They had defeated hosts Bahrain in last edition’s final.
Qatar have never won the tournament and their best performance till date is the runners-up finish at the 1996 edition in Egypt, won by Tunisia.
In 2000 (Jordan) and ’08 (Bahrain), they had clinched the bronze medal.
This would be Qatar’s first major outing after the Asian Games, which was held in Incheon, South Korea, where the team got the 6th place.
