The Qatar Volleyball Association has begun assembling the women’s teams, which is preparing to participate in the international competitions in the year 2021/2022, as these players will be the nucleus of the first Qatari women’s volleyball team that will participate in the 2030 Asian Games in Doha.

The technical staff of the national teams in the “QVA” supervises the training of the women’s teams, which number (60) players, where the players perform their training three times a week for two hours in the “QVA” hall.

The technical staff of the national teams is working to establish women’s teams to keep pace with the progress and global status reached by volleyball (beach and indoor) in the State of Qatar and to encourage girls to play volleyball.

Ms. Sarah Khaled Al-Misnad, QVA -member of the Board and Head of the Women’s Committee in QVA, said that the Qatar Volleyball Association , headed by Mr. Ali bin Ghanem Al-Kuwari, QVA -President of the Board of Directors, seeks to create a qualified generation to represent the women’s team in the best way and at the highest levels, and works on the continuous development of the base of the game and its dissemination in the State of Qatar, with the aim of Achieving the establishment of a generation of girls capable of participating, competing and representing the State of Qatar on the Arab and international levels as players, coaches or referees in the future.
