The International Volleyball Federation has announced the selection of the Qatar national volleyball team to participate in the Challenge Cup for volleyball, which will be held in the capital of South Korea, Seoul, from 28 to 31 July, representing Asia.
The Qatari team will participate in the group that includes Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, Cuba and Chile.
Regarding this choice, Mr. Ali bin Ghanem Al-Kuwari, President of the Qatar and West Asian Volleyball Federations, expressed his happiness with the participation of the Qatari team in the Volleyball Challenge Cup, representing the continent of Asia, given that South Korea is the hosting country, indicating that the choice came against the background of the level The good witnessed by Qatari volleyball and the global classification of the team that will participate in the World Championships to be held in Poland and Slovenia after the withdrawal of its organization from Russia due to its military operation against Ukraine.

Mr. Ali Said that the Challenge Championship is a good opportunity for the team, as it will serve as a good preparation for it before participating in the World Championship, noting that the team will also participate in the Gulf Games that will be held in Kuwait, which is also part of the preparations for the World Championship.
He explained that the selection of the Qatari team to participate in this tournament confirms the distinguished level that the Qatari volleyball game has reached thanks to the great support of the wise leadership in the country and the support of His Excellency Sheikh Joan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
He concluded by saying, “The Qatari national team will organize a good preparatory program that includes internal and external camps and friendly matches in order to raise the players’ capabilities and achieve the best possible level of performance.
