The Police team faces its counterpart Al-Ahli today, at QVA Hall, in the decisive and qualifying match for the Qatar Volleyball Cup final for the 2019-2020 season ,where the winner will qualify to face Al-Arabi in the final that will be held next Wednesday.
Police team had obtained a card to play the play-off match after its victory over Al-Ahli by 3-0 (25-22, 25-17 , 25-23) to draw with it and compensate for its loss in the first-leg match, in which Al-Ahli beat Police (the league champion) with a score Three rounds without response,(18-25, 20-25,16-25).
In today’s meeting, the police are seeking to repeat the team’s victory in the second leg and qualify for the match against Al Arabi in the final confrontation to add the Qatar Cup title to the league title it recently achieved. In contrast, Al-Ahli team, in turn, seeks to win and qualify for the final match, and Al Arabi awaits this important confrontation between the police & Al-Ahli and the study of the strengths and weaknesses of the winning team that will face it in the final. Al-Arabi qualified for the final match after beating Al-Rayyan in the aggregate of the two matches with a score of (3-0). Season 2014-2015, while Al Rayyan won the title in the 2015-2016 season, and Al Arabi won it for the second time in the 2016-2017 season, before Al Rayyan crowned the title twice in the 2017-2018 season and in the last season 2018-2019.
