Qatar volleyball team confidently won the silver medal at the prestigious 2nd edition of the GCC Games, following their 3-1 victory over hosts KSA in Dammam city on Sunday.
Volleyball team showed impressive performance to defeat hosts KSA (25-19), (25-21), 23-25) and (25-21), meanwhile Bahrain team retained their title, after defeated Oman 3-1.
In another sport scene, the Qatar’s weightlifters sparkled in the Games to win 9 medals and presented this glorious achievement to HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC).
The prestigious Games are bringing together five GCC nations after the withdrawal of Kuwait to include Qatar, hosts KSA, Bahrain, Oman and UAE.
