QVA League champions Police won the Gulf Clubs Volleyball Championship in Kuwait City, Kuwait on Monday. In their round-robin league match, winner-take-all game, Police beat former four-time winners Al Hilal Club of Saudi Arabia in straight sets by 25-19, 25-23, 25-21. With this victory, the 2015 runners-up Police topped the table with 15 points and emerged the winners. Police are the third club from Qatar to win the Gulf title. Al Arabi won the title first time in 2010. Al Rayyan bagged the crown on three occasions – 2011, 2015 and 2016. Also this was the fifth time that a Qatar team won the regional club volleyball title.
