Qatar League holders Al Rayyan will take on Emir’s Cup champions Al Arabi in a one-off match for the Super Cup next Friday (December 12).
The event, first of its kind in the history of the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA), is likely to set the tone and tenor for the 2014-15 Qatar League.
Rayyan clinched their eighth league title in March after defeating Police in the last fixture while Arabi rallied to beat Police en route to their 20th Emir’s Cup.
The matches between Rayyan and Arabi have always been high-voltage contests and the Super Cup promises to be another thriller.
The season has already started with the Federation Cup which ended on Friday (Nov 28), Al Arabi got the title after beating El Jaish 3-2.
