Defending champions and 12-time winners Al Rayyan Club will eye a clean sweep of the titles this season when they launch their campaign in the premier Emir Cup Volleyball Championship on April 30.

The Lions, winner of the Super Cup, the Arab Clubs Championship, the QVA League and the Qatar Cup this season, have just dropped a match, presenting dominant volleyball. They will take on either Al Sadd or Al Wakrah in their lung-opener.

The Emir Cup is however starting on April 26 with two qualification matches – Al Ahli Club vs Al Gharafa and Al Sadd Club vs Al Wakrah. The winners will join mighty Al Arabi Club, the 21 times winners, 25-time finalists Al Rayyan, League runners-up and four-time finalists Police, four-time winners Qatar Sports Club, Al Khor and Al Shamal in the quarter-finals.

The matches to spot the semi-finalists will take place on April 29 and 30. This will be followed by the best of three semi-final playoffs on May 3, 5 and 8. The final on May 12 will bring the curtain down on the domestic season.
