Poland’s Michal Bryl and Bartosz Losiak won the Beach Pro Tour Doha Challenge 2022 at the Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Courts on Saturday.

The second seeds dominated Italy’s Paolo Nicolai and Samuele Cottafava, seeded ninth, in the final, winning 21-18, 21-15. This was the duo’s second triumph this season, following their win in the Tlaxcala Challenge in Mexico in March.

Qatar’s top duo of Cherif Younousse and TIjan Ahmed, the World No. 2 and favourites for the title, had bowed out in the Round of 16 on Saturday.

Brazil’s Barbara Seixas and Carol Salgado won the women’s title, and like the men’s winners, added their second crown after clinching the season-opener in Mexico.

Seixas and Salgado defeated the German pair of Chantal Laboureur and Sarah Schulz 21-13, 21-13.

Qatar Volleyball Association President Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, Secretary General Youseef Ahmed Kanoo and Member of the Board Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari awarded the winners.
