Al Arabi stayed on top of the Qatar League with a 28-26, 25-18, 25-20 victory over Al Sadd last week.
With 12 wins from 13 outings, Arabi have 36 points, two more than champions Al Rayyan.
At the Al Arabi Indoor Hall, the experienced trio of Ibrahim Saeed, Juma Faraj and Renan Ribeiro gelled well for the 24-time league champions.
The first set was a close affair and the pendulum swung both ways. But Ribeiro turned the tide in Arabi’s favour with a couple of stunning smashes. The side then had it relatively easy in the second and third sets.
The Reds have been in terrific form since the start of the league. The only reversal they suffered was against El Jaish, in the last game of first phase.
Both teams will get a fortnight-long break from the league competition as they are representing the country at the 33rd Arab Clubs Championship, which got under way in Egypt last Monday.
