Qatar Volleyball Association President Mr. Ali bin Ghanem Al-Kuwari has participated in the meeting held by the Arab Volleyball Association (AVA), via video conferencing.The meeting discussed plans and future programs of the game in order to contain the repercussions of the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), which caused the cessation of sports activities, in addition to considering ways to return competitions and championships during the coming period.The presidents and representatives of the Arab associations stressed the need for constant consultation and communication in view of these current circumstances, to reach the best visions and ideas for developing the game during the coming period, and to minimize the effects of stopping the activities.Arab Volleyball Association (AVA), in a message sent to Association’s members to postpone and cancel some of the championships that were scheduled to be held in the current year 2020.On the other hand, the Qatar Volleyball Association renewed the resumption of the men’s general league competition in September, by holding the last and postponed round of the league competition for the 2019-2020 season, which was suspended due to the pandemic of the coronavirus emerging (Covid-19).

The Qatar Olympic Committee issued a circular on the return of sports competitions starting from July 20.
