Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) President Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi said last-minute signings could have a big say in the fortunes of most of the teams as the 37th edition of the Qatar Men’s League starts on Wednesday.
A total of 55 matches featuring 11 teams will be played over the next three months at Al Arabi Sports Club in the first phase of the League which concludes on January 29.
“Most of the teams are busy with last-minute signings which is very crucial for them. The national players got a well-deserved break after the GCC Championship in Riyadh. Though Al Rayyan and Al Arabi are the front-runners, there’re at least five or six teams who have strong line-ups and this is surely going to make the League both tough and exciting,” said Al Mawlawi.
