The Qatari beach volleyball team will participate in the 2016 AVC Asian Beach Volleyball Championship to begin in Sydney, Australia on Friday.
The event features the participation of well known teams like Qatar, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Oman and Hosts Australia.
The Qatari squad includes Cherif Younousse, Jefferson Santos Pereira, Julio and Ahmad Tijan.
Jefferson Santos and Cherif Younousse claimed their first ever FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour gold medals when they beat Oleg Stoyanovskiy and Artem Yarzutkin in the final of the inaugural Kish Island Open in Iran in February.
