The national team of beach volleyball team will depart this evening to the Sultanate of Oman to participate in the 28th Arab Championship for Men, which will be held on the stadiums of Salalah Oman from 18 to 24 August.

Our delegation to the Sultanate is headed by a member of the beach committee, Mohammed Anbar Al-Nasser, the team manager, accompanied by coach Abdulaziz Khallouf.

The Arab Championship, which is hosted by the Sultanate, will be attended by 14 teams representing 8 Arab countries. Oman with two teams in addition to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen, while Lebanon and Palestine participate with one team each, the participating teams will be divided into 4 groups. It is noteworthy that our national team was crowned the 26th edition which was held in the Sultanate of Oman with the participation of 9 Arab teams: Qatar, Oman, Sudan, Iraq, Morocco, Lebanon, Bahrain, Jordan and Yemen, while the Omani team was crowned the 27th and last edition held in Morocco.

The Star (1) is considered the most important event as the International Beach Volleyball Championship, which is supervised by the International Federation of the game, which will be held during the period from 24 to 27 August with the participation of 14 countries, each country with two teams, namely Qatar, Oman, Denmark, Hungary Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Canada, Kazakhstan, Poland, Japan, Iran, Norway and Sweden, where qualifying matches will be played from 24 to 26 and semi-final matches will be held on 27th. The Qatar (1) team consisting of duo Tamer Issa and Maslamani will compete in the main draw, while the Qatar (2) team consisting of duo Ziad Abdul Majeed and Saif Al Majid will compete in the preliminary rounds.
